Deadspin covered the new Cowboys Stadium’s opulent luxury, from the $40 million scoreboard to the $60 pizzas. How about $75 seats where you can only see one-third of the playing field? Thank you, Jerry Jones for all your blessings!

GeekBrief.tv posted this longer video about the giant punt-blocking HDTV hanging over the field, but in the course of their visit they also discovered something special—the worst stadium seats imaginable. One is literally behind a cement column. The other sits up against a cement wall that obstructs all of the stadium except for one red zone. I’m not sure which exact seat this is, but there doesn’t seem to be any indication on Ticketmaster that obstructed view seats are available or that they are any cheaper than the lowest listed price of $75. ($59 as part of a season ticket package.) The standing-room only morons get a better deal than that, but at least you get a chair.

How bad are these seats? You are in the same room with the world’s largest video screen, a massive 160-by-90-foot egoriffic TV built specifically to give fans in the cheap seats a visual reminder that they are actually attending a football game … and you can’t even see that. Unless you’ve recently had your neck elongated, you are better off watching at home.

So when broadcasters are boasting every Sunday about the 100,000 maniacs feeding the Jerry Jones wishing machine, do you think they will mention the 35,000 (plus two!) fans who are paying money to not watch a football game with their own eyes? Please, sir, may we have some more?

Oh, and for the best seat in the house… it actually goes to these guys! Oh and, these two.

…he ripped off his testicles in a drunken rage!

A man ripped his friend’s testicles off in a drunken rage when his victim failed to respond to his fondling.

Hans O. (45) appeared in room 117 of Dusseldorf district court with the public prosecutor accusing the 120-kg man of committing sexual abuse and grievous bodily harm.

The incomprehensible incident took place on September 2 last year. Hans and his buddy Alexander J. met in the afternoon in the centre of Neuss, a town near Dusseldorf. They drank beer deep into the night.

Hans O. got completely drunk, and then suddenly overwhelmingly horny…

He unbuttoned the trousers of his friend who was sleeping on the couch, and messed around with his genitals.

When the fondling failed to provoke any physical response from Alexander, Hans became furious…

The prosecutor said: “He twisted the scrotum repeatedly until it broke. Then he took the testicles and hurled them from the window.”

Despite his life-threatening injuries, Alexander O. returned the two kilometres to his home where his mother called an ambulance.

Police later found the testicles on the roof where they lay in the snow guard.

The prosecutor wants Hans O. to be taken into psychiatric accommodation. The accused himself declined to comment: “I’m saying nothing else.”

The trial continues on January 13.

An Arizona man will do community service rather than go to jail for his compassion.

Walt Staton was convicted earlier this year of littering in the Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge Area. His crime: leaving plastic water bottles out in the desert. That might not normally attract a lot of attention, but this case was about more than the water bottles.

Mr. Staton is a member of a No More Deaths, a group that believes it is better to help people rather than let them die for want of food or water in the extreme heat of the Sonora Desert even if they aren’t welcome in our country. He left water jugs along a route known to be used by illegal aliens.

The federal government spent thousands of dollars to bring him to justice on a minor crime supposedly because of the environmental damage that could be done by the jugs.

He was sentenced to 300 days of community service and banned from the refuge for a year. When he refused, the U.S. magistrate threatened him with 25 days in jail. Mr. Staton relented and agreed to do the community service.

His actions would usually be hailed as humanitarian, but in this case he ran afoul of our immigration laws, which likely had more to do with the issue than preserving the natural beauty of our wilderness areas.

Robert usually writes about energy and the environment on his blog. However, he recently ran into a scammer online, and surprised the scammer by fighting back:

After I didn’t roll over for him, he resorted to sending me numerous threats and harassing e-mails, going so far as to threaten harm to my elementary school aged son. I wasn’t about to let him get away with this.

”

Robert has a detailed account of what happened on his blog, but the short version is this: he tried to buy a 2nd Diablo 2 key/license so that he could play the game with his son. He found a service called Diablo-Keys.com (also known as d2keys.com) that promised Diablo 2 keys for $5.

The key didn’t work, however. That’s when Robert started digging and realized that this guy has been around for a while, taking in $5 payments for non-working keys, and that Robert clearly wasn’t the only person who had been scammed.

From there, Robert and the scammer started going back and forth via email. The initial exchanges were polite, but at some point the scammer invented a fake law firm and sent legal threats to Robert. Robert called his bluff on the threats, they went back and forth some more, and then Robert told him that he was going to share their correspondence with the public.

The scammer wrote back,

“HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

Go ahead and post on your shitty blog that nobody reads. We aren’t afraid of you and your bullshit threat. Feel free to take my dick, put it in your mouth, and such [sic] it hard ^_^

”

So Robert posted the full story not just on his blog, but on Reddit. Surprise, you’re Internet Famous now, scammer!

A birthday celebration that culminated in a trip to catch the blockbuster movie “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” could land 22-year-old Samantha Tumpach in prison for three years.

The Chicago, Illinois-area woman captured three minutes of the film on her videocamera while taping part of her sister’s surprise party at a Muvico theater in Rosemont.

Theater managers contacted police, who arrested Tumpach. She spent two days in jail. Now she faces a felony charge of illegally copying a movie.

“The motion picture industry has encouraged theater owners to adopt a ‘zero-tolerance’ policy prohibiting the video or audio recording of any portion of a movie,” Muvico Entertainment, which oversees the theater, told HLN’s “Prime News.”

Attempts to reach Tumpach and any representation were unsuccessful.

Piracy has been an ongoing issue for the motion picture industry. The Motion Picture Association of America estimates that illegal piracy costs its business billions of dollars every year. Muvico said the group believes that hidden cameras in theaters are the direct source of more than 90 percent of all pirated movies.

Still, CNN legal analyst Lisa Bloom said three years appears excessive for the incident, if it should be prosecuted at all.
